The new Gulfstream Ave. roundabout is down to 1 lane Tuesday afternoon during FL Department of Transportation construction.

SARASOTA, FL — Traffic is backed up at the new Gulfstream Avenue roundabout that recently opened at U.S. 41 because of Florida Department of Transportation construction, the Sarasota Police Department shared on Facebook.
Workers had traffic at the roundabout down to one lane around 1:30 p.m., police said.
It’s estimated to take 45 minutes to an hour to leave the Lido Beach/St. Armands area, the agency said.
