Watch Replay: Donald Trump Rally in Sarasota, Florida
The Republican presidential nominee made a last-minute appearance in Sarasota Monday morning.

SARASOTA, FL — With one day left to go before Americans turn out to the polls, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump made a last-minute push for votes in Florida. The New York businessman took the stage in Sarasota Monday morning.
Trump’s Election Eve appearance at the Sarasota Fairgrounds comes as national polls show Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton ahead by a few percentage points. The Republican had witnessed a spike in the polls following an Oct. 28 announcement from FBI director James Comey that his agency was investigating new emails possibly related to Clinton’s use of a private server during her time as secretary of state.
The FBI announced Sunday that its review had not resulted in a change of heart from an earlier decision to not recommend prosecution.

Clinton’s campaign has also been on the defensive as WikiLeaks continues to dump emails allegedly written by or sent to Clinton campaign staffers. Among the revelations to come out of the WikiLeaks dumps is a $12 million donation from Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to the Clinton Foundation. News about a $1 million donation from Qatar also broke over the weekend. The Clinton Foundation reportedly accepted the gift from Qatar while Clinton was serving as secretary of state. The donation was not reported to the State Department, Reuters reported.
With controversy surrounding the Clinton campaign, the Democrat watched her lead in the polls dwindle. On Friday, Oct. 28 she led Trump by 4.6 percentage points in national polls, according to RealClear Politics. As of Monday, Nov. 7, her lead was 2 percentage points.

Clinton is also running a tight race in the crucial battleground state of Florida. With 29 electoral votes on the line, the Democrat was ahead by only 1 percentage point Monday, according to RealClear Politics.
Controversy has also surrounded Trump’s campaign over the past few weeks. Trump took a beating the polls following the three presidential debates and the release of a video that shows him making lewd comments about women. Trump’s troubles compounded when several women came forward to accuse the businessman of inappropriately touching them.
Hoping to close the gap in the Sunshine State, Trump took the stage at the Sarasota Fairgrounds Robarts Arena at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7. Watch a replay of the rally below.
