Weekend Shooting Investigated
Two women say that "multiple shooters" fired at their car from an apartment building. Detectives are asking the public for help.
Sarasota Police are investigating a pre-dawn shooting Monday in the 3300 block of Central Avenue.
Police say that a Crown Victoria was traveling by an apartment complex. There were two people in the car – a woman driver and her female passenger.
The women told police later that they were on their way to Bradenton and using Central Avenue as a shortcut, when multiple shooters opened from an apartment building in the 3300 block of Central Avenue.

The passenger side of the car was hit once, and no one was injured. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Det. John Todd at 941-954-7091.
