Weekend Things: Ringling Underground

Ringling Museum of Art will host a chill evening with live bands, art exhibits, cash bar and more to wind down to the weekend.

1. is inviting the community out for Ringling Underground: Art After 5 on Thursday, featuring live music, art exhibits, interactive art, cash bar and more. It's free for students from Florida State University, , ,  and ; $5 ages 6-17 and college students with ID; and $10 adults.

2. An Evening with Linda Eder and Tom Wopat  will be staged at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Friday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.. 3. Check out Bello Mania this weekend after you see circus performer Bello Nock do some tricks at 11:30 a.m. today on a flying trapeze beneath a chopper above the Big Top and Ed Smith Stadium off of 12th Street and Tuttle Avenue. . Bello's show Bello Mania starts Friday, Feb. 10 at the Big Top and tickets are on sale now. There's a special on opening weekend tickets now for certain seats priced $10 and $20.

4. Take a hike. February is Florida Hiking Trails Month and you can be really adventurous by doing the Florida National Scenic Trail, which is a path that will ultimately extend 1,400 miles from the Gulf Islands National Seashore in the Panhandle all the way to the Florida Keys. Might take up more than your weekend for that.

5. Allyn Gallup Contemporary Art gallery presents "Two Doors Down," an exhibition featuring mixed-media paintings and drawings by Jennifer Basile and Bianca Pratorius through Feb. 26. The opening reception, with artists in attendance, is Friday, 6-8 p.m. The gallery is at 1288 N. Palm Ave., in Sarasota.
