A man was charged with improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm in public after authorities say he shot a gun into the ground after an argument.
Here's what happened, according to a report from the Tampa Police Department:
A man named Nick Blanco was visiting with family members in the backyard of 105 W. Osborne Avenue in Seminole Heights on Saturday. While there, he got involved in an argument with someone and drew out a Kel-Tec P-11 pistol and fired a round into the ground. The gun was shot in "close proximity" of several relatives that were in the backyard.
When the police arrived, one of the teenaged girls who was present during the shooting turned the pistol over to police after Blanco hid the pistol.
Blanco was arrested, but bonded out of the Hillsborough County Jail.
