Zoo To Host White Elephant Sale

Shoppers will have a chance to purchase holiday decor and fixtures from the zoo.

OK, you won't find actual white elephants at this sale. 

But you will find lots of bargains when Lowry Park Zoo hosts a White Elephant Sale Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Zoo Pass holders will be admitted at 8 a.m.).

This is a unique opportunity to shop for an array of collectible items from the zoo's warehouse. 

Shoppers are invited to browse through the zoo’s assortment of seasonal and holiday décor from past events like Wild Wonderland and ZooBoo.

Shoppers will also have the opportunity to purchase retail fixtures, merchandising supplies and other items only available to the trade. Items may range from a few dollars to several hundred. 

Zoo admission is not required to enter the sale. Shoppers enter to the west of the zoo’s main entrance.

Then come back after the sale for the Summer Safari Night and Ladybug Release from 5 to 9 p.m. 

The zoo will stay open late with free unlimited rides, animal encounters, music, food and fun with Radio Disney AM 1380. There will be a special ladybug release during the event. Extended hours and activities are included with zoo admission of $24.95 for adults, $22.95 for seniors and $19.95 for children age 3 to 11.
