1 Dead In SoHo Crash: Tampa Police
A man died after being hit by a truck leaving a SoHo shopping center early Tuesday morning, Tampa police said.
TAMPA, FL — A man died after being hit by a truck near a SoHo shopping center early Tuesday morning, according to a Tampa Police Department news release.
A truck driven by a 27-year-old man was leaving a shopping plaza in the 400 block of South Howard Avenue at Horatio Street around 2:45 a.m. when he hit a pedestrian.
The truck didn’t come to a complete stop before entering the road, police said.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man, was standing near the edge of the road at the time of the crash.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was brought to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver remained on the scene of the crash, which is under investigation.
