17-Year-Old Found With Guns, Drugs, $34K In Cash: Hillsborough County Sheriff
A 17-year-old Plant City boy faces multiple charges after being found with guns, drugs and $34,000 in cash, the Hillsborough sheriff said.
PLANT CITY, FL — A 17-year-old boy armed with a rifle was arrested Thursday after detectives saw him leaving his Plant City home on Jap Tucker Road, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shared in a social media post. While HCSO has named the suspect, it’s Patch policy not to name minors accused of a crime unless they’ve been charged as an adult. It’s unknown whether he has been charged as a juvenile or an adult.
Detectives obtained probable cause charges after previously serving a search warrant on the teen’s cell phone.

After deputies saw the teen leave his home with the rifle on Thursday, they pulled him over.
Following the traffic stop, deputies searched his vehicle and home, where they found three rifles (including one stolen gun), $34,000 in cash, nearly 120 pounds of THC resin, 500 grams of vegetative cannabis and multiple rounds of ammunition, the sheriff’s office said.

The teen was arrested and faces multiple charges, including minor in possession of a firearm, armed possession of a controlled substance, and delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, community center, or recreational facility.
