Tampa and Orlando are predicted to be among the hottest housing markets in the U.S. in 2024, according to a new report.
FLORIDA — Two Florida cities are predicted to be among the hottest housing markets in the United States in 2024, according to a new report from Zillow.
Orlando nabbed the No. 9 spot and Tampa landed at No. 10 on the top 10 list from the real estate listings website. They were the only Florida cities to make the list.
Buffalo grabbed the No. 1 spot and most of the hottest markets on the list were in the Midwest, the Great Lakes and South, with Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis and Providence rounding out the top five.

This year could be better for Tampa-area homebuyers, some experts said.
"In 2024, we're starting to see some market shift or we're starting to see some interest rates come back down, which is a great thing for all our buyers," Adam Grenville, president of Greater Tampa Realtors, told WTSP.
Tomlin St. Cyr’s Noah Rich said lower interest rates could draw younger buyers to the area, who also have various programs available to them.
"There's a lot of first-time homebuyer programs that are available," he told Fox 13. "Find out what is available because there will be free money toward your down payment.”
More rural areas, particularly Pasco and Polk counties, will continue to see residential growth, giving more options to buyers, experts said.
