1. 22 South Food Hall is being saved from closure by 10 local investors. The food hall cited the tragic death of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player and local businessman Vincent Jackson as a catalyst for the closure. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

2. Publix's GreenWise Market is set to open in Water Street Tampa on August 19th. The new store is 26,000 square feet. Customers can pick up a glass of wine, local craft beer, locally roasted coffee, tea, kombucha or smoothie to enjoy in the seating area or carry with them while they shop. (Tampa Patch)
3. An order that is now in effect requires everyone who is inside a court building over the age of two to wear a face mask "until the level of community transmission of COVID-19 in Hillsborough County is reduced to moderate." (WTSP)
4. The Learning Station Academy in Lakeland closed for good last Friday because financially it could not hold on any longer due to COVID-19. The daycare center temporarily closed for two weeks, four times over the last year, after someone there came up positive for the COVID-19. (Fox 13 Tampa Bay)
5. The Carnival Mardi Gras cruise ship set sail on its maiden voyage the same day that Florida broke a record for COVID-19 cases. Governor DeSantis and the CDC have been in a legal battle since April when he filed suit against the CDC for requiring coronavirus vaccines on cruise lines. (Tampa Patch)
