2nd Body Pulled From Waters Off Courtney Campbell: Tampa Police

TAMPA, FL — A second body was pulled from the waters off the Courtney Campbell Causeway Tuesday morning, according to a Tampa Police Department news release.

In an unrelated incident, the body of a Black male in his mid-teens with no obvious signs of trauma was found in the water Sunday night.

The second body was that of an adult Hispanic male thought to be in his early to mid-30s, police said. There were no signs of trauma to his body.

Detectives are working to positively identify both subjects and notify their next of kin.

Although still in the early stages of each investigation, the incidents do not appear to be related and there is nothing that suggests foul play, police said.

The Medical Examiners Office will determine the official cause of each death.
