3 Best Cheeseburger Joints Serving FL, Reviews Say

TAMPA, FL — If you are looking to satisfy your appetite with a mouth-watering cheeseburger, Yelp says three Florida eateries may please your palate.

The number of reviews and the ratings of restaurants were used by Yelp as metrics to determine the 20 best cheeseburger spots in the U.S.

North South Grill in Pembroke Pines is the best cheeseburger establishment in Florida, according to the ranking. Nationally, the South Flamingo Road restaurant landed in the seventh slot on the list.

North South dishes out a menu that serves farm-fresh ingredients, according to the company website. Menu items include steak mushroom subs, California chicken subs, double bacon cheeseburgers, crispy buffalo chicken sandwiches, grilled mahi mahi sandwiches and poutine.

Satu’li Canteen in Lake Buena Vista is the eighth-best cheeseburger joint in the U.S., per the Yelp ranking. Located at 2901 W. Osceola Pkwy., Satu'li is part of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Pandora-The World of Avatar.

Offering a fast-casual experience, Satu'li serves international flavor, vegetarian meals and other specialties, according to its website. Cheeseburger steam pods, wood-grilled chicken bowls, beef hot dogs, tofu bowls and chili-garlic shrimp bowls are among menu items.

Tampa's Empamamas, a Cuban eatery, sits at 1910 N. Ola Ave., Suite 13. The Yelp ranking slid Empamamas in the ninth slot. With whimsical names for its dishes, Empamamas is the concept of a University of Florida graduate, according to its website.

The Tampa Girl — stuffed with roasted pork and honey ham — features a special sauce, while the Cheeseburger in Paradise is a makeup of beef, cheddar, red onion, spinach, mozzarella and other ingredients. Other menu items are the Mother Clucker, the Fresh Prince, tacos, Hunny Boo Thang chicken tenders and chips and queso.
