$50K In Silver Coins, Bars Stolen In Burglary: Hillsborough Sheriff
A 10-time convicted felon was arrested for stealing more than $50K in silver coins and bars, and guns from 2 Hillsborough County homes: HCSO

DOVER, FL — Deputies who arrested a burglary suspect in Dover recovered more than $50,000 worth of silver coins and bars, and guns taken from two homes in Hillsborough County, authorities said.
Three guns were stolen during a Nov. 8 burglary that happened just after 10 p.m. at a home in the 2100 block of Herndon Street, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release
During the investigation, detectives identified Justin Reeves, 34, as a possible suspect, the sheriff’s office said.

The Targeted Crime Unit found Reeves driving in Dover and took him into custody Wednesday after they saw a traffic violation. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
While searching Reeves' vehicle, deputies found heavy bags containing a large quantity of collectible silver coins and silver bars, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives learned the coins and silver bars were taken from an unreported burglary in Hillsborough County. When investigators contacted the elderly victim, they learned that the victim was out of town during the burglary.
Deputies also searched Reeves' home, where they found two of the three stolen firearms, along with additional coins and silver bars.
Reeves is a 10-time convicted felon who was recently released from prison in August.
In addition to the drug-related charges from his traffic stop, he was also charged with:
- armed burglary of a dwelling
- burglary of an unoccupied conveyance
- felon in possession of a firearm
- three counts of grand theft firearm
- grand theft
- grand theft, second degree
- dealing in stolen property
