6 FL Food Trucks Named To Yelp's Top 100 List
In honor of National Food Truck Day, Yelp compiled a list of the top 100 food trucks in the U.S. See which FL spots made the list.
Whether you're craving smoky barbecue or a fresh slice of pizza, Florida is home to six of the nation's top 100 food trucks, according to a new ranking compiled by Yelp.
On Tuesday, Yelp released its ranking of the best food trucks based on the online reviews of more than 58,000 spots across the United States. The list's purpose is to identify diners' favorite food trucks nationwide and ultimately crown a winner.
To do this, Yelp identified businesses in the food truck category and ranked them using "a number of factors," the company said.

At No. 9, Mike’s BBQ 101 in Key Largo was the only Florida food truck to crack the top 10.
"After 30 years cooking everywhere from cruise ships to pizzerias, Mike Porcari found his calling behind a 500-gallon custom-built stick burner — that’s a wood-fired smoker to novices," Yelp wrote. "He interprets the machine’s every move, to ensure his prime-cut brisket gets a good concentration of bark — the crispy, caramelized exterior that is the holy grail of good ‘cue."
