1. Florida residents who died on 9/11 will be among those memorialized at services across the country on the attack's 20th anniversary today. Nearly 3,000 Americans, including 5 from Florida, were killed in the attacks. (Tampa Patch)
2. Lighthaus is now open at Sparkman Wharf and replaces Fermented Reality. They serve beer, seltzers and wine, as well as New York-style pizza. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
3. BayCare, which staffs 28,000 employees, will mandate COVID-19 vaccinations after new federal rules were announced this week by President Joe Biden. About 45% of their employees are unvaccinated. It is one of Southwest Florida's largest health care providers. (Tampa Bay Times)
4. A mask mandate will remain in place in Hillsborough County Public Schools for another 30 days, through October 15th. The decision comes after Judge Cooper ruled against Governor Ron DeSantis on a mask mandate ban in schools. (WFLA)
5. Florida State Fair will be returning to Tampa from February 10th to the 21st of 2022. The event will feature rides, attractions, agricultural events, live music, and more. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 13th. (Orlando Weekly)
