1. A shooting at The Loft Bar and Grill in Crystal River early Sunday morning left one person dead. Citrus County Sheriff's Office says that detectives are investigating the incident. (WTSP)

2. Publix Charities recently donated $200,000 along with 2,835,456 pounds of produce to Feeding Tampa Bay, according to a release. Feeding America charities are struggling to fight food insecurity in Florida as demand remains high. (Patch Lakeland)

3. Alessi Bakery is celebrating 109 years in Tampa. Nicolo Alessi arrived in Tampa from Italy and brought knowledge of baking with him, first opening Alessi Bakery in 1912. Festivities will be held on September 25th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and September 26th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (That's So Tampa)

4. A proposal to make school board elections partisan has received a Senate sponsor from Florida Senator Joe Gruters, chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. If approved, the proposal would appear as a constitutional amendment on the 2022 ballot for voters. This proposal comes as school board meetings have become increasingly heated over mask mandates. 5. City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor says officials will rework a controversial program that allowed police officers to notify landlords when their tenants had been arrested. The will only inform landlords now about “certain serious drug and violent felonies.” This follows and investigation by the Tampa Bay Times that showed the program has targeted Black residents by 90%.
