AMC Movie Theater Shooting Under Investigation: Tampa Police

TAMPA, FL — A Saturday night shooting outside an AMC movie theater in the Tampa area is under investigation, authorities said.

Officers responded to a fight in the AMC Highwoods 20 parking lot, 18002 Highwoods Preserve, just before 10 p.m., according to a Tampa Police Department news release.

A single shot was fired into the air by a person involved with the incident, police said.

While nobody was hit by the bullet fired, three people sustained minor injuries.
