Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting At Tampa Credit Union
Tampa police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at the Suncoast Credit Union Friday.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at the Suncoast Credit Union Friday.
On March 3, just after 6 a.m., a customer in his early 50s was found shot in the drive-thru lane of the credit union, 1920 E Hillsborough Ave. He was taken to the hospital where he died.
On Wednesday night, police arrested Jeremiah Harris Jr. and charged him with robbery with a firearm and first-degree murder. Harris was additionally charged with armed robbery for a separate crime at the same credit union on Feb. 21.

In that case, The victim, a man in his early 20s, was at the ATM when police said he was approached by Harris, who pointed a gun at him and said, "If you don't give it to me, I'll kill you."
Witness statements provided detectives with information that Harris was repeatedly seen wearing clothing and carrying items that matched the robber seen in the surveillance video.

It led detectives to an apartment at Meridian Pointe Apartments, 2450 E Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, where Harris was known to associate with a resident. A search warrant was executed and fingerprint specialists compared the fingerprints lifted from evidence recovered at the crime scene to fingerprints lifted from Harris when the search warrant was carried out. Harris' prints were a match.
During an interview with detectives, Harris provided a post-Miranda confession to both crimes, Tampa police said. He was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
