Asher Apartments Feature Water Street's Largest Rooftop Pool Deck

After a successful pre-leasing period, residents have begun moving into the Asher at Water Street.

TAMPA, FL — Residents have begun moving into the newest collection of rental residences available at Water Street Tampa.

Asher is the newest collection of rental residences in the 56-acre live-work-play neighborhood under development by Strategic Property Partners LLC.

Amenities at Asher include the neighborhood’s largest rooftop pool deck with more than 70 lounge chairs, a media lounge and co-working space with private conference rooms.

Move-in and in-person tours are now underway at the building following a successful pre-leasing period.

“Asher represents a new approach to urban living in Tampa, with world-class design, unmatched amenities and a location in the heart of downtown,” said Lee Schaffler, chief portfolio officer for SPP. “We received strong interest in Asher during our pre-leasing phase and are excited to welcome our first residents to the building.”

Designed inside and out by renowned architect Morris Adjmi Architects, Asher offers interiors inspired by Tampa’s industrial history. The homes range from studio to two-bedroom residences and feature Fisher & Paykel appliances, Caesarstone quartz countertops, subway tile backsplashes and custom Morris Adjmi-designed vanities.

The 22-story building features oversized industrial windows that maximize natural light and a custom art collection with more than 40 pieces curated by Adjmi’s team that showcase works by national and international artists.

Asher features an extensive collection of amenities and includes Water Street Tampa’s largest rooftop pool deck, complete with cabanas, outdoor kitchens, an indoor-outdoor bar and an entertainment lawn.

Asher also boasts a state-of-the-art fitness center with indoor and outdoor spaces, entertainment and media lounges, and a co-working space with private conference rooms. These amenities reflect the building’s name, which is derived from ash trees — symbolizing creative expression, productivity, strength and longevity — and the Hebrew word for "happy."

Through a collaboration with SPP, national hospitality operator Method Co. will service the building’s extensive suite of amenities, including a 24-hour concierge.

Method Co. is also opening ROOST Tampa, an elevated extended-stay hotel option with move-in ready studio, one- and two-bedroom homes at Asher.

ROOST Tampa is expected to open in early summer.

Located along Water Street, the neighborhood’s namesake and main thoroughfare, Asher places residents in the center of this new community.

Asher will offer retail on the ground floor — including the first Florida location of international Asian-inspired restaurant brand, Wagamama — and will open onto the newly redesigned Water Street, which will be lined with a 45-foot-wide sidewalks shaded by an extensive tree canopy and programmed with retail.

Reflecting the wellness and sustainability-oriented vision for Water Street Tampa — the world’s first WELL Pre-certified Community and LEED Silver certified for Neighborhood Development Plan — Asher is pursuing LEED certification and will feature amenities and programming designed to boost well-being.

Management of Asher is being handled by ZRS Management. Suffolk Construction, nationally known for its innovative construction practices, served as general contractor.
