Here are the top stories in Tampa today:

1. The Tampa Bay Bucs are back this week as the season opener is held this Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys. The Bucs will work to defend their Super Bowl LV title. This is the 7th time Tom Brady has received the honor of the season's first kick-off. (Tampa Patch)

2. Dr. Linda Marraccini, a family practice physician in South Florida, says she will no longer see patients who are not vaccinated in-person by September 15th. She says the decision is grounded in science and not politics. Marraccini says the move does not violate the Hippocratic Oath because she offers telemedicine and can refer patients to others. (WFLA)

3. Brandon Outreach Free Clinic and Resource Center is hosting a comedy show on October 8th at The Regent to raise money in support of patient care and tickets are now available. It is a volunteer medical clinic that relies on donations to provide healthcare to low-income and uninsured residents of Hillsborough County. (Osprey Observer)

4. An 18-year-old in Dunedin, accused of firing a gun at nearby citizens while running from Pinellas County police, was arrested after a SWAT standoff on the roof of a home that lasted for six hours. He is facing several charges. (Fox 13 Tampa)

5. Coppertail Brewing Co. in Ybor City has teamed up with the Tampa Bay Bucs to release a "Florida Special Lager", soon to be available at Raymond James Stadium in limited-edition commemorative cans featuring the Bucco Bruce logo. 12-packs of the lager will also be available at local restaurants and retailers including Publix.
