Why are you running for office?

As a parent of a neurodiverse 6th grader in our public schools and the current Vice Chair of the Hillsborough County School board, I want to continue to use my educational experience, my passion for student success, my financial background and my proven leadership skills to continue the work of investing in our public schools here in District 3. I also want to expand access to Montessori, IB magnets and community schools in North Hillsborough, as well as
expand access to our middle school sports. There is still a lot of work to be done, and I am the best person for the job. Our children deserve the best.

What do you think are the top three issues the school district is currently facing?

Teacher shortages, reading readiness, classroom behavior.
