Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn chatted with Vice President Joe Biden at last week's Annual Conference of Mayors. What do you think they talked about, or hope they talked about?

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn got some quality time with Vice President Joe Biden and other leaders from around the country last week at the annual U.S. Conference of Mayors in Orlando.

Buckhorn told WUSF that he was interested in ideas on military, job growth, and ports and wanted to know how other cities dealt with:

  • The downsizing of the military
  • The kinds of jobs that are being created in the urban core
  • How to expand international presence in exports.

Buckhorn's office said the mayor and vice president chatted about "the importance of investing in city infrastructure like roads, ports, airports, and bridges" and released a photo (see attached) of their face-to-face.
