Central Command General To Speak At Tampa Veterans Day Ceremony

The Veterans Day ceremony will take place at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk in downtown Tampa Friday at 11 a.m.

TAMPA, FL — The CRISP (Commitment, Respect, Integrity, Service, Pride) organization will host a Veterans Day ceremony in downtown Tampa Friday at 11 a.m. to honor the more than 19 million men and women who have served in the United States military.

Tampa has a long and rich history with the U.S. military, and the Commander of U.S. Central Command, Gen. Michael E. Kurilla, will be the keynote speaker. The event at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk's Bayshore Ballroom will also include Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and retired Major Gen. James Hartsell, a United States Marine and executive director of the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs, will also speak at the ceremony.

Approximately 100 people, including Gold Star Families, are expected to attend.
