Chunks Of Concrete Block I-275 After Truck Crashes Into Median Wall
Interstate 275 near Ashley Drive was shut down early Monday morning when a crash caused a tractor-trailer to jackknife and strike a median.

TAMPA, FL — Interstate 275 near Ashley Drive was shut down early Monday morning when a crash caused a Freightliner tractor-trailer to jackknife and strike a center median, leaving chunks of the concrete wall across both the northbound and southbound lanes.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:40 a.m. The truck, driven by a 45-year-old Land O' Lakes man, and a Hyundai SUV, driven by a 34-year-old Tampa man, were heading north on I-275 when they came upon a crash scene.
The driver of the truck braked heavily, causing the truck to jackknife, slide and hit the right side of the SUV before striking the median wall.

The highway was shut down until 6:30 a.m. while workers cleared the debris as well as diesel fuel.
The drivers suffered minor injuries.
