1. The University of South Florida (USF) launched an electronic survey on Monday seeking input from students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community looking for what is desired in USF’s eighth president. Business executives and students have raised concerns about the process of selecting the next president. (The Crow's Nest)

2. The Straz Center is hosting virtual town hall discussions to give voice to BIPOC artists in the community. The first townhall on Thursday, September 23rd, will focus on the "evolution of the dynamic artistic and social power of spoken word, hip hop and its Caribbean elder, reggae." (WUSF)

3. The City of Tampa said in a press release on Tuesday that an "overwhelming majority" of city employees voted in favor of the vaccine mandate with nearly 80% of employees voting. Employees are required to be fully vaccinated by September 30th unless they can show that they have COVID-19 antibodies and those who do not can opt for weekly tests and to wear a surgical grade mask at work. 4. The USF Bulls have broken ground on a $22 Million indoor football performance facility. It is a precursor to the team getting its own stadium in the future. The facility will include a lobby and observation deck. (Tampa Patch)

5. Uptown Sky is bringing 61-units of affordable housing to North Tampa near the University Area. Uptown Sky is funded by around $7.3 million of 4% Housing Credit Equity syndicated by Raymond James Tax Credit Funds, with Aetna, a CVS health company. (83 Degrees Media)
