1. An illegally parked car became submerged in high tide waters off the Courtney Campbell Causeway leading to warnings from Clearwater Police about the practice. (WFLA)

2. The Hillsborough GOP released a letter that called on Gov. DeSantis to stop the U.S. Capitol Police from opening a Tampa field office. Since the January 6th riots in Washington D.C. more than 500 people have been arrested with 55 of those charged coming from Florida. A tweet with the letter was deleted after being posted to its Twitter account. (Fox 13 Tampa Bay)
3. Seaside Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Shores is caring for birds that became sick from the red tide. More than 300 birds were taken in during June including from red tide. Birds are being exposed to brevetoxin, a compound that causes neurotoxic shellfish poisonings, by eating contaminated food sources such as dead or dying fish. The sanctuary is looking for donations and volunteers from those interested in helping out. (ABC Action News)
4. Kraken Black Spiced Rum is offering a free Kraken Rum cocktail to rum lovers ages 21 and up in Florida at their favorite bar or restaurant to support bartenders who lost their jobs during the pandemic. Every free cocktail reimbursed will be matched with a donation to the United States Bartenders Guild Foundation's Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. (Patch)
5. A rare female blanket octopus was spotted off the Manatee County coast near Anna Maria Island by Captain Tony Zain of Skyway Sportfishing. The female version is hardly ever seen with the male counterpart being 40,000 times more common. (Fox 13 Tampa Bay)
