TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are asking drivers to avoid the area of South Manhattan Avenue and West San Jose Street.

This intersection will be closed for several hours Friday morning due to two downed utility poles from an early-morning crash.

Due to a minor injury crash, a TECO pole was struck and the traffic signals were knocked to the ground in the intersection. The intersection is closed in all directions while the pole and signals are repaired.
