  1. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue contained a fire at a storage unit in Tampa on Monday morning at 815 E. Fletcher Ave. The fire was under control in just 10 minutes. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire. (Tampa Patch)
  2. The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) has issued a travel advisory for Florida, including the Tampa area, following a recent immigration bill signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis. The law requires hospitals and health clinics to check the legal status of patients before treating them and issues fines against businesses for hiring undocumented migrants. The last time LULAC issued a travel warning was in 2010 after Arizona passed a strict immigration law known as "show me your papers" nationally. (Tampa Patch, AP)
  3. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a number of new bills aimed at the LGBTQ community in Tampa at a Cambridge Christian School on Wednesday. The bills include a new gender bathroom law, a bill on lewd events including drag shows, an expansion of Florida's "Don't Say Gay" law, and more. (Click Orlando)

A Florida man from Brooksville is facing charges after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail out of his car window and planning to burn down a home, according to Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect has been charged with child abuse, false imprisonment, and discharge/place destructive device. He is being held on a $15,000 bond. (WFLA)
  5. A transient man who allegedly torched acres of land on Sand Hill Scout Reservation in Hernando County has been charged with Intentional or Reckless Burning of Lands, Felony Criminal Mischief, Trespass, and Resisting an Officer without Violence. Authorities said the fire consumed 15 acres of land and the suspect was found near the brushfire. (ABC Action News)
