Diesel Fuel Spill From Crash Closes Down Portions Of Hillsborough Ave

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating a crash that spilled a substantial amount of diesel fuel on East Hillsborough Avenue west of Interstate 275 Monday morning.

At 3:48 a.m., a box truck collided with a vehicle, resulting in the fuel spill and shutting down two outside eastbound lanes on East Hillsborough Avenue.

There were no reported injuries but traffic is slow-moving and drivers are urged to look for alternative routes.
