FLORIDA — During a season dedicated to inspiring joy to the world and peace on Earth, not all Floridians got the message. As the holiday season got underway, Florida law enforcement officials investigated some especially heinous crimes including the death of a woman after being struck in the head with an axe, a gas station patron caught on video attacking another customer with an aluminum baseball bat, then striking him with his car, a shooting at Florida A&M University that killed one and injured four, and a warrant issued for a woman accused of setting fire to her own home with her two cats and a dog inside.
