Doug Waechter Joins Colliers Tampa Office Services Team

TAMPA, FL — Doug Waechter, a former Major League Baseball (MLB) player who has played for the Tampa Bay Rays, Florida Marlins and Kansas City Royals, has joined Colliers as Associate for Office Services. Waechter will work alongside Bill Reeves and leverage his years of real estate experience in this role.

Reeves joined Colliers in 2015 and has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Most notably, he worked on Tampa Electric Company’s (TECO’s) high-profile headquarters move to Midtown Tampa in 2023. The deal earned Reeves several awards, including the Tampa Bay Business Journal 2023 Deal of the Year.

Doug is a St. Petersburg native and attended Northeast High School before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the third round of the amateur draft in 1999. He spent four seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays and is currently in his 10th season as an analyst for the Bally Sports broadcast team. Doug is also a three-time Emmy award winner and five-time nominee for 2017 Sports Event/Game Live Unedited and the 2021 and 2022 Sports Programs.

Prior to joining Colliers, Waechter served as a realtor for the DMK Group at Douglas Elliman Florida specializing in selling luxury real estate in St. Petersburg and Tampa. He is a multi-awarded broker and has received the REALTrends Tom Ferry Top 1% of Real Estate Teams for 2021 and 2022, and the Pinnacle Award for four consecutive years, from 2020-2024.
