Dover Woman Dies After Being Found Injured On I-275 Christmas Day

TAMPA, FL — A 29-year-old Dover woman has died of injuries suffered in an accident on Interstate 275 Christmas Day.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Sunday, just after 7 a.m., a Florida Department of Transportation road ranger spotted a woman laying on the northbound shoulder of I-275, south of Dale Mabry Highway.

Troopers said the woman was unresponsive and has a significant head injury as well as road rash throughout her body from being dragged across the pavement.

She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call *FHP or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
