Fire Breaks Out In Tampa Storage Units Where People Reportedly Lived
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called in to battle a fire at a storage facility in Tampa where people may have been living.
TAMPA, FL — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called in to battle a fire at a storage facility at 5809 N 50th St. in Tampa late Friday night where people may have been living.
Calls came into the dispatch center at around 11:30 Friday night reporting smoke and flames coming from the storage units.
Crews quickly began battling the blaze, using saws to cut the overhead doors to access the fire inside the units.

Firefighters received reports that people might be living in one or more of the storage units but searches found no occupants at the time of the fire.
Fire rescue units were able to contain the blaze to just four of the 28 storage units. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
