The answers varied from sweet treats like pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts to a hearty bowl of chicken and dumplings or collard greens.

Black bean soup is a hearty, comforting dish that is popular in Florida, especially in Miami. This soup, made with black beans, onions, garlic and spices, is often served with a dollop of sour cream and a squeeze of lime.
