1. A Canadian nonprofit called The Canadian Taxpayers Federation unveiled a new billboard this week on I-275, next to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg reading: “Dear Rays, Montréal won’t pay for your new stadium. Sincerely, Taxpayers.” (Creative Loafing Tampa)

2. Champa Bay: Tom Brady made NFL History on Sunday with his 600th career touchdown pass. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went on to win 38-3 over the Chicago Bears. Tom Brady is currently the oldest player who is still active in the NFL at age 44. (People)
3. The Pinellas County Florida Department of Health is offering flu shots for free including for people who are not insured. No appointment is necessary and the shots are offered for adults and children from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. October 25th to October 29th. There are locations in St. Petersburg, Mid County, Clearwater, Pinellas Park, and Tarpon Springs. (WTSP)
4. Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, a top health official in the state, refused to wear a face mask when meeting with a state senator recently diagnosed with breast cancer in her office. Ladapo was recently appointed to the position by Governor Ron DeSantis and has remained controversial since his appointment. Senate President Wilton Simpson (R-Trilby) sent a memo Saturday night criticizing what occurred. (Patch Tallahassee)
5. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is the latest government agency to zone in on the owners of the now defunct Olympus Pools. The IRS said Olympus Pools owner James Staten owes more than half a million dollars in federal taxes. (ABC Action News)
