Former Sonny’s BBQ Restaurant Catches Fire In Tampa: Watch
A vacant Sonny's BBQ restaurant in the 2400 block of E. Busch Boulevard went up in flames Tuesday morning, Tampa Fire Rescue said.

TAMPA, FL — A vacant restaurant in the 2400 block of E. Busch Boulevard went up in flames Tuesday morning, Tampa Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.
Firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire at the former Sonny’s BBQ location just before 7 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls about heavy smoke coming from the roof. (Watch a video of firefighters battling the blaze below.)
Crews found the single-story restaurant with heavy smoke and fire from the roof and front of the building, the fire department said.

Firefighters entered the building but were forced to leave it when the fire conditions became worse and the roof began to collapse.
Additional manpower was requested as the first wave of responding firefighters battled the flames from outside the building using multiple hose lines and an aerial ladder truck, TFR said.

The fire was under control in about an hour. There were no injuries reported.
The Tampa Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
