Here are the top stories in Tampa today:

1. Seven former employees of Four Green Fields are suing the owner of the Tampa pub for more than $30,000 in lost wages and damages after they discovered Four Green Fields’ management was in violation of labor laws. The former workers cite a 2019 U.S. Department of Labor investigation that found Four Green Fields was not paying bartenders a direct wage, only tips. (Florida Politics)

2. Unisen Senior Living hosted grand re-opening ceremonies on December 9th and 11th to unveil recent renovations as part of a $25 million investment sponsored by not-for-profit Tampa Life Plan Village. The investments include remodeled common areas, updated apartments and villas, and exterior upgrades. (Tampa Patch)

3. Tampa is opening a new permanent shelter for homeless residents that will house up to 300 people for as long as they need to stay. The shelter will be run by City of Tampa and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Petersburg. The residents will start off in tents and then move into cottages in February 2022. (WUSF)

4. John’s Pass Village may soon become a wet zone thanks to a new proposed ordinance. Community Development Director Linda Portal introduced the proposal which would make most of John's Pass Village a wet zone except Gulf Blvd. and Pelican Lane. Some homeowners oppose the ordinance, fearing issues from public drinking. (ABC Action News)

5. Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) has welcomed its new rescued dolphin Apollo. Apollo has hearing loss, which compromises his ability to echolocate. That ability is needed for dolphins to survive in the wild. (WTSP)
