Free Golf Lessons For Girls Offered Through Women Of Color Golf

Girls on the Green Tee is providing free golf lessons to girls ages 7 to 14 in the University of South Florida area.

TAMPA, FL — Girls from ages 7 to 14 are invited to take free golf lessons on Mondays starting April 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the University Area Community Park.

Girls on the Green Tee has partnered with the University Area CDC (Community Development Corporation) to provide lessons. GOTGT is a mentoring program designed by Women of Color Golf to introduce young girls to the game of golf and provide leadership development, self-esteem, confidence, discipline, healthy habits and fitness experiences, all through the game of golf.

To register, parents and guardians should stop by the University Area Community Center on Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. A current school physical is required and space is limited.
