1. Duckweed Urban Grocery, a local health grocery store, will open a new location in Tampa’s North Hyde Park. It will be the local chain's 4th location. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

2. City of Tampa says at least 70% of workers are vaccinated after a vaccine requirement was announced on August 25th. There are some exceptions for those who do not want to take the vaccine and have religious or medical exemptions. (Fox 13 Tampa)

3. Move over: Florida ranks 3rd in the nation for the most roadside fatalities. 125 people were killed in Florida from 2015 to 2019 while outside a disabled vehicle, which can be prevented by people moving over to let people work safely on the side of the road. (Florida Patch)

4. A St. Petersburg woman was arrested for battery after she allegedly bashed her boyfriend over the head with pan full of hot grits, burning his left arm. The victim suffered head and facial injuries and needed stitches, according to police. (WFLA)

5. Jam Out: Gasparilla Music Festival is in downtown Tampa this weekend at Curtis Hixon Park. Attendees will need a ticket and proof of vaccine or a negative COVID test. There will be over 40 bands on four stages. (Bay News 9)
