1. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis mocked the CDC's new mask recommendations from an unmasked event in Utah. He has pledged to fight masks for schools as governor. (WFLA)

2. Hillsborough County athletes took home the gold from this year's Move United Junior Nationals tournament. It is America's oldest and largest continuously held competitive sports event for athletes with physical disabilities. (Patch)

4. A report states that more than 144,000 Florida renters are at risk of eviction if the CDC eviction moratorium ends. It is currently set to expire this weekend. At least 7.4 million households are currently behind on rent. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

5. Pinellas County Commissioners have decided to move forward with a plan called "Vision Zero" to reduce pedestrian and bicyclist deaths to zero by 2045. Two deaths or injuries by motor vehicles occur each day in Pinellas County on average. (WUSF)
