Grand Central to Host Flicks and Food Trucks

Flicks & Food takes place the third Thursday of each month.

Here's a chance to get some great gourmet food while catching some of the  newest independent films.

Flicks & Food Truck takes place the third Thursday of each month from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Grand Central at Kennedy, 1208 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. The next even is this Thursday, March 21.

In addition to 10 to 15 gourmet food trucks serving everything from burgers to vegetarian bites, the event will feature beers from microbrewery, Pour House, live music by Busted Blues and independent films provided by the Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network's The Independents' Film Festival.

The Independents’ Film Festival, an annual project of the network, showcases student and independent films from around the world, while maintaining a focus on the Florida filmmaker. The films run 10 to 15 minutes each.
