  1. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is hosting workshops to hear from residents about any unmet disaster recovery needs following Hurricane Ian. Meetings will from June 28 to July 12. Florida is receiving more than $910 million in disaster relief funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. (Tampa Patch)
  2. Orlando's popular The H Steakhouse concept is expanding across I-4 to 1504 S. Howard Ave. in Tampa. The new restaurant will replace CopperFish in Hyde Park. No opening date for the new concept is available at this time. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
  3. The Florida Supreme Court has ruled against Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren in his bid to be reinstated to the job, after being removed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The court ruled 6-1 to deny Warren's petition "due to unreasonable delay." This decision came despite the fact that Warren took action filing paperwork right after DeSantis suspended him without notice. (Tampa Patch)
  4. Purple Square Management, which owns numerous Dunkin' shops as well as Baskin-Robbins and Popeyes locations in the Tampa area, recently acquired six existing American Family Care clinics in the Tampa area, according to a statement. The new owner plans to open 18 more locations in the region in the next five years, according to the release. (Business Observer)
  5. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) busted 22 people in an unlicensed contractor sting, what the office is calling as "Operation Hot Water." Deputies went undercover for the operation, posing as homeowners to capture and charge the contractors. HCSO is warning homeowners to only used licensed contractors for repairs. (ABC Action News)
