Halloween Forecast For FL: Is Rain In Store For Trick-Or-Treaters?

As Florida trick-or-treaters ready their costumes, weather forecasters say Halloween 2024 will feel warm.

FLORIDA — Ghouls and goblins in Florida can expect dry and warm weather next week for All Hallows Eve, forecasters say.

The weather for Halloween, observed annually on Oct. 31, may be favorable for trick-or-treaters. Forecasters predicted temperatures around the 80s for the East Coast.

"This year, there are no major concerns as far as snow, ice or cold across much of the country, "AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said Friday in a news release. "... We're looking at a lot of mild weather overall during the day on Halloween, with some places being downright warm."

AccuWeather said temperatures in the lower 80s could cover the eastern states, but most significantly, the Southeast could experience dry weather. The sole chance of clouds and showers lies in Florida from Daytona Beach to Miami and the Keys.

In the deep South, AccuWeather forecasters said a tropical storm may be stirring in the Caribbean Sea.

A cold front nearing the west may blow a breeze from the southwest, where costume-wearers may want to add a thin layer under their clothing, AccuWeather said.

However, Fox Weather surmised the South may endure "little in the way of a cooldown during the early evening hours."

In a Halloween "Scarecast," The Weather Channel meteorologist Danielle Banks said the Southeast will be quiet.

The National Weather speculated the sun could shine and may complement a high temperature of 84 degrees for the Tampa area.

With these projections, the weather could feel nice for most young children and their families collecting candy in Florida communities.
