1. The Hillsborough County School Board has denied six charter school proposals. Most of the votes were 5 to 2 or 6 to 1, with member Melissa Snively voting to support charter schools. (Tampa Bay Times)

2. A 24-year-old was arrested after a hit-and-run crash killed a woman getting mail in Wesley Chapel. The suspect was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death. (WFLA)
