PALM RIVER, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred just after 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 7400 block of Rosy Periwinkle Court in Palm River. Deputies responded to a call of a person down and arrived to find a man with upper body trauma, according to the sheriff's office. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives said they do not believe the man lives in the neighborhood and this appears to be an isolated incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
