During this ramp closure, drivers will detour around the work zone by continuing south on I-275, exiting the interstate at Jefferson Street (Exit 45A), keeping left at the fork toward Downtown East, turning left onto Scott Street, and re-entering the interstate using the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist drivers traveling through the area.

Other improvements include constructing noise barrier walls along the corridor, installing fencing and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices, and reconstructing the overpasses between Floribraska Avenue and Hillsborough Avenue.

Due to high traffic volumes, some of the work will be done overnight. Heavy machinery will be used during daytime and nighttime hours. Concrete and asphalt work may produce noise, vibration and lighting impacts.
