Jim Gaffigan Sets New Year’s Eve Tampa Stop

Comedian Jim Gaffigan has announced a New Year's Eve show at Amalie Arena.

TAMPA, FL — Folks who love Jim Gaffigan’s special brand of humor may want to jot down a few dates. The Grammy-nominated comedian has announced plans to spend New Year’s Eve at Amalie Arena helping Tampa Bay area fans laugh in 2018.

Gaffigan is a father of five and the front man behind “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” which has been picked up for its second season by TV Land. He’s also a New York Times’ best-selling author. His first book, “Dad Is Fat,” debuted on the bestseller’s list at number five back in 2013 and stayed on the list for 17 weeks. His second book, “Food: A Love Story,” came out in the number three slot on the New York Times' list in 2014.

Gaffigan’s Noble Ape Tour is set to make a stop at Amalie Arena on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show go on sale starting Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices start at $32 and climb to $66. Prices don’t include facility fees or service charges. They’ll be available at the McDonald’s Ticket Office at the arena, via Ticketmaster outlets and by calling 800-745-3000.
