1. News you can use: You can now get La Segunda Bread at select Publix locations in Tampa. Currently 6 locations are selling the bread. The historic Cuban bread maker made the announcement on social media this week and hopes to expand to more Publix locations in the near future. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

2. Governor Ron DeSantis announced he is calling a special legislative session to draft new COVID laws in the vaccine and business fight. The session comes as OSHA mandates vaccines that will soon lead to federal fines for businesses that fail to comply with federal law. (WFLA)
3. A fire at the 100 block of East Humphrey Street at 12:38 a.m. on Wednesday morning left a Tampa family homeless. Authorities say the cause of the fire was a person smoking while on an oxygen machine. (Tampa Patch)
4. Style: Italian fashion designer Marcus Menniti is hoping to make Tampa a fashion destination. The designer held his first show in Milan in February and is hosting one in Tampa this week. Proceeds from the show will benefit 3 different organizations working to end human trafficking. (ABC Action News)
5. Raymond James Financial Inc., based in St. Petersburg, plans to acquire TriState Capital Holdings in a $1.1 billion deal. TriState Capital will operate as a separately branded firm and independent division of Raymond James. (St. Pete Catalyst)
