In July 2025, St. Pierre violated the terms of his pre-trial release by removing a court-ordered monitoring device without permission, authorities said. Florida's Fifth Judicial Circuit then issued a felony arrest warrant for him.
Hernando County Sheriff’s Office detectives determined St. Pierre returned to Canada, where he is a citizen, WFLA said.

“An ensuing inquiry by United States Marshals into the whereabouts of St. Pierre resulted in an international manhunt spanning the United States, Canada, Portugal, and France,” the U.S. Marshals Service said.
