Man Injured After Being Thrown From Motorcycle In Tampa-Area Crash: FL Highway Patrol

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 19-year-old Inverness man was seriously injured after being thrown from his motorcycle while getting off Interstate 275 on Tuesday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

He was speeding while heading south on the exit ramp from I-275 to Bearss Avenue when his Yamaha R6 left the ramp around 7:15 p.m., troopers said.

He hit a concrete traffic island, entered Bearss Avenue and crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado towing trailer driven by a 41-year-old Tampa man before being thrown from his motorcycle.
